Today, 7 June 2024, the 29th regular annual report of the Ombudsman and the 16th report of the National Preventive Mechanism for 2023 were handed over by the Ombudsman, Peter Svetina, to the Prime Minister, Dr. Robert Golob.

Ombudsman briefed Prime Minister on the key findings of the Annual Report and other current issues in the field of human rights protection. They agreed that the cooperation between the Ombudsman's institution and the Government has improved and committed to a constructive and constructive cooperation in the future.

On Wednesday, 5 June 2024, the Ombudsman, in accordance with the Act on the Ombudsman, had already forwarded the reports to the National Assembly and the following day handed them over to the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, Mag. Urška Klakočar Zupančič. On Wednesday, the reports were received by the President of the Republic, Dr Nataša Pirc Musar.
